Spring has left Southampton Hospital with several momentous occasions to celebrate.

The Hamptons Invitational Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament recently presented Southampton Hospital President & CEO Bob Chaloner with a donation of $100,000, in support of the Hospital’s Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center. “This generous contribution, among others, will enable Southampton Hospital’s Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center to continue to educate the public, promote collaboration in the medical community, and facilitate access to diagnosis and treatment of tick-borne diseases,” noted Southampton Hospital President & CEO Bob Chaloner. “Community members are encouraged to learn about tick-borne disease by visiting our website, www.southamptonhospital.org. The help line, 631-726-TICK, is available for people who have questions about tick-borne disease or who need a referral to a qualified professional.” The pledge represents a portion of the proceeds from the inaugural golf tournament founded in 2014 by Dennis Suskind, Edward Burke, Jr., and Rick Hartmann.
On Thursday, April 30th, Southampton Hospital had another milestone to pay tribute to. Representatives from Southampton Hospital, the Ellen Hermanson Foundation (Ellen’s Run), and community members came together to commemorate the debut of a private entrance to the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center. The Hospital wanted the separate entrance to provide patients with easily access services at the Breast Center, which has been in operation since 2009.
