“Finding Nemo” Featured In Annual Hamptons Family Outdoor Movie Night

The timing for Citizens for Access Rights (CfAR) and Hamptons Drive-In’s screening of the Pixar Animation Studios produced and Walt Disney Pictures released “Finding Nemo” couldn’t be better. Just days after “Discovering Nemo” (a sequel to the 2003 animated film) was confirmed to be in production, CfAR and Hamptons Drive-In will showcase the original during their Family Outdoor Movie Night at Maidstone Park Ball Field.

“There’s nothing like an outdoor movie in the summer,” said shared Nicole Starr Castillo, Cfar Executive Vice President.

Written and directed by Andrew Stanton, “Finding Nemo” follows Marlin, an overprotective clownfish, who along with Dory, a regal tang, searches for his abducted son Nemo all the way to Sydney Harbour. As Marlin travels with the carefree Dory, he learns to take risks and let his son take care of himself.

“We at CFAR love doing this annual event,” shared Castillo. “It allows us to bring our CFAR supporting families together for a movie and continue to build awareness about public access of the beaches during the summertime when the issue is most important.”

Family Movie Night attendees are encouraged to bring their own beach chairs and blankets to create a comfy watching spot. Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Gates open at 7:30 p.m., with the movie beginning at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for non-members and free for 2015 CfAR members.

All proceeds from the event will support CfAR’s mission to protect beach access on the East End and to defend the current lawsuit affecting the stretch of beach on Napeague.
