Hamptons Yappy Hour Goes To The Dogs (In A Good Way)

BYOD (bring your own dog) or adopt one! That was the theme at Yappy Hour on Thursday, August 27th. Attendees gathered in Southampton for wine, cocktails, and bites, barkaritas and yappetizers (for four legged guests), a dog adoption parade, doggy basket raffles, and a beach themed dog costume contest, with Beth Stern as the celebrity judge. The evening was fun for the whole family.

The festive atmosphere on the great lawn of the Rogers Mansion allowed dogs and their owners to see old friends and make new ones. Once all the contests had concluded, Beth Stern and Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley presented awards for the best doggy costume, best mannered dog, best trick dog and other party tricks.

Yappy Hour benefited both the Southampton Historical Museum (www.southamptonhistoricalmuseum.org) and the North Shore Animal League America (www.animalleague.org).
