East Hampton Chamber Of Commerce Hosting First Annual Spring Celebration Street Fair

On Saturday, May 20, East Hampton Village will be abuzz with excitement as the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce presents the First Annual Spring Celebration Street Fair.

“The first annual East Hampton Village Street Fair promises to be a day of fun for locals and visitors alike,” explained Steve Haweeli, East Hampton Chamber President. “It’s a chance to mingle with friends and to interact with artsy vendors, non-profits and listen to live music. It’s a can’t miss!”

Taking place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Fair will span from Park Place to Main Street, with Newtown Lane lined with over 75 booths that represent the area’s beloved artists, shopkeepers and non-profits – like the Pollock-Krasner House, the East End Children’s Museum, the East Hampton YMCA, East Hampton Historical Society and East Hampton Trails Preservation Society, and many, many more.

“As members of the East Hampton Chamber, we are excited to provide our exciting youth and family programs in the middle of Newtown Lane for this great event for the community,” noted Glenn Vickers II, YMCA East Hampton Executive Director.

The Street Fair will also feature a Main Street Stage where attendees can kick back, relax and listen to live music from local legends all day.

The Fair will bring together many of the area’s beloved businesses, community members and non-profits. “This is a day that like a bottle of perfume, is East Hampton in a bottle – where one can smell, see, taste, feel, and touch the year round best of all that is East Hampton – one week before the summer season officially begins,” Steven Ringel, Executive Director of the East Hampton Chamber, noted.

“The East Hampton Spring Street Fair will an amazing day of Fun in the Sun – a truly unique festival featuring live local bluegrass, folk, and rock on our main stage – free yoga classes, dog/cat adoptions, CPR training for children and adults, a huge Kidzone with so much just for them, even a large mural being painted on site all day,” shared Ringel. “Come see over 75 booths with local artists, interesting non-profits, and yummy food and drinks.”

While there’s certainly something for all ages, with a climbing wall, jumping castle, face painters, arts and crafts and more, you’ll have a hard time convincing your little ones to leave the fun filled Kidzone.

“Come and get a backstage pass to the best that East Hampton Village has to offer,” encourages Ringel. “The East Hampton Street Fair will be a chance to experience the best East Hampton has to offer – live music, great art, interesting crafts, food and drink, a Kidzone just for little one’s hosted by the YMCA and the East End Children’s Museum – and so much more. Where else can you adopt a dog or cat, see a farm exhibit, have a free yoga class, learn CPR, watch a mural being painted and dance in the streets with your friends all day? “

Additionally, Amber Waves Farms will be providing a hands-on farming exhibit for all ages and Hampton Free Ride will be providing shuttle service from the John Marshall Elementary School parking lot.
