The East Hampton Aviation Association is presenting Just Plane Fun Day at the East Hampton Airport on Saturday, September 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event will include classic and unique aircraft, military flybys and demos, gourmet food trucks, a classic and exotic car show and more.
“Just Plane Fun Day at the East Hampton Airport will be a family-friendly, fun filled day where everyone in our community can experience vintage military and civilian aircraft up close,” shared Kathryn Slye. “We are excited to bring the entire community together in a way that educates, inspires and motivates people of all ages to enjoy the adventure of aviation.” Several historic and antique airplanes from the Bayport Antique Airplane Club will be on display.
The East Hampton Aviation Association hopes to promote interest in aviation among local youth and the community as a whole. Those interested can learn about potential aviation related careers.
“In addition to aviation, we will have a concurrent vintage car show at the event, displaying everything from rare antique models to classic sports cars, and several of the area’s best food trucks on site so everyone can enjoy good food during the event,” Slye noted. Rare antique models from the 1920’s and 1930’s, classic sports cars from the 1980’s and 1990’s, and more will be featured.

Featured food trucks include Noah’s on the Road, Blondie’s Bake Shop and Eat Me Drink Me. Raffles will also be available for purchase and guests will have the opportunity to win aviation-related prizes.
“We expect a great turn out and hope that everyone will have a fun and memorable day at their local community airport,” Slye added.
Admission and parking are free. Sunday, September 10 is the rain date.
