Hammer Towing, 27 Eats, Bartlett Tree Care, Blocks, Tructs, & Art, Bridgehampton Fire Department, Diversified Services, Green Thumb, Mr. Softee, Peconic Bay Medical Center, S&P Sanitation, and Suffolk Cement will be making a special appearance at the Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) on Saturday, September 16 as part of CMEE’s 3rd annual Big Truck Day.
“Kids just love big trucks,” noted Steve Long, the Museum’s President. “This event not only gives them the opportunity to see them up close, but to actually hop behind the steering wheel and pretend they’re doing the driving.”
Attendees will have the chance to check out some of the “big trucks” and commercial vehicles that they often spot on East End roads and learn more about the impressive fleet from the people that drive them.
“With two young children of my own, it’s easy to see why Big Truck Day has become so incredibly popular,” added Long.
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the exciting event will showcase emergency vehicles, construction and farming machines and other extraordinary vehicles.

“Big Truck Day is always one of my favorite events at the Museum. I honestly think I might have more fun than the kids who attend,” shared Liz Bard, the Museum’s Education Coordinator. “And with so many local businesses represented, it’s another example of how we’re upholding our mission to build strong connections within the East End community.”
Admission is free for members and $12 for non-member admission is $12 per person. Space is limited and pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
Children’s Museum of the East End is located at 376 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton. For more information, call 631-537-8250 or visit www.cmee.org.
