Bridgehampton National Bank And United Cerebral Palsy Launch Employment Connection Van

Bridgehampton National Bank (BNB) has joined forces with United Cerebral Palsy to help provide qualified workers with disabilities the opportunity to connect with Long Island employers through the newly unveiled UCP Employment Connection Van.

“The Employment Connection is an innovative program that uses a mobile van to bring career services to the disabled and help match them with companies looking for good employees,” shared Kevin O’Connor, CEO BNB. “BNB is proud to partner with this program and United Cerebral Palsy (UCP).”

BNB and United Cerebral Palsy debuted the UCP Employment Connection Van on Friday, October 13 at the Bridgehampton National Bank Corporate Headquarters in Bridgehampton.

Established in 1994, The Employment Connection assists those with disabilities with interview skills, job coaching, career change, preparing to join the workforce while clients are still in school, the job search, employment goals, and more. The new mobile van makes these vital services more accessible to the community, and when stationary, the transportable venue has space for five people and a program leader.

For employers, The Employment Connection matches reliable, competent workers with companies that are struggling to find qualified workers for high-turnover positions or commit the time and funds to train and supervise new workers.
