This year the luck of the Irish is definitely on your side because you can celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day every weekend in March.

Before you attend the Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 10, head to The Claddagh (141 Montauk Highway, Westhampton Beach) for a Parade Fundraiser on
Saturday, March 3
at 7 p.m. The festive affair will include raffles, raffles and more raffles – nearly $20,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, music from East End Entertainment, and special appearances from local dignitaries and the Committee, who will introduce this year’s Grand Marshal, Peter Cuthbert, alongside the Eastern Long Island Police Pipes and Drums. Admission is $20.

Then, it’s time for the real action. The 51st Annual Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade will launch on Saturday, March 10 with an outdoor kids carnival at 11 a.m. – which will run until it’s dark. The parade steps off at Oneck Lane and Mill Road at 12 p.m. For more information, visit whbstpats.com.

Also on Saturday, March 10, the “World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade” – A.K.A. the Am O’Gansett Parade – will be led by Dell Cullum, who will march participants from Mary’s Marvelous through the Village beginning at 12 p.m. Following the event, the Amagansett Chamber of Commerce will welcome the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center at the Amagansett Library (215 Main Street, Amagansett). The program will begin at 12:30 p.m. and include a meet and greet with some very special guests from the rescue organization, which is the only wildlife hospital on the East End. For more information, visit www.amagansettchamber.org.

The following weekend, Share the Harvest will host a St. Patrick’s Day Benefit Concert on Saturday, March 17 at the Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, Amagansett). Local favorites Fred Raimondo, Inda Eaton, Nancy Remkus, Sarah Greene and Cynthia Daniels, Job Potter, and Rorie Kelly will headline the affair, which will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door and all proceeds benefit Share the Harvest’s mission to “feed local families in need using sustainable farming practices.” For more information, visit www.sharetheharvestfarm.org

The final parade on Saturday, March 10 is the Cutchogue St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Presented by the Cuthogue-New Suffolk Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Cutchogue Fire Department, the Parade will start at 2 p.m., marching from the Traffic light at Cox Lane, down Route 25, ending in Cutchogue Village. For more information, visit www.cutchoguefiredept.org.

Grand Marshal Sean Walter will lead the East End Emerald Society’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 24. The parade begins at 1 p.m. and will head from the corner of North Railroad Avenue and Washington Avenue in Jamesport to the Jamesport Fire Department. For more information, visit eastendemeraldsociety.com.

The Hampton Bays St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 24 at 11 a.m. Grand Marshal Fergus Scully will guide participants from the Hampton Bays Elementary School on Ponquogue Avenue to Montauk Highway, travel west towards the reviewing stand, and end at the Hampton Atrium parking lot. Additionally, the Hampton Bays Hibernians (the St. Patrick’s Day Parade organizers) are hosting a benefit Spring Concert featuring Andy Cooney on Sunday, April 22. The performance will take place at the Hampton Bays High School (88 Argonne Road East, Hampton Bays) from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.hbaohdivision11.com.

East End St. Patrick’s Day happenings will wrap up with the 56th Annual Montauk St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday March 25 at 12 p.m. Presented by the Montauk Friends of Erin, the Parade runs up Edgemere Road, turns onto Main Street where it passes the reviewing stand on the green, and culminates at the end of Main Street by the IGA. New York’s second largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off with a real treat – hot soup donated by local restaurants, which will be available for purchase on the green starting at 10 a.m., and the delicious meal comes with your very own St. Patrick’s Day Parade souvenir mug. For more information, visit www.montaukfriendsoferin.org.

As per usual, Montauk Friends of Erin is hosting several events leading up to the big day. The first will be the 15th Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner at The Point Bar & Grill (697 Montauk Highway, Montauk) on Saturday March 10. The evening will feature music by “Todd the Guitar Guy,” raffles and prizes, delicious bites and more. The dinner will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Behan’s Annual Grand Marshal’s Luncheon, honoring “Kathleen Keller” – this year’s Grand Marshal, will be held on Friday, March 23, from 12 to 3 p.m., at the Montauk Yacht Club (32 Star Island Road, Montauk). 2011 Grand Marshal Joan Lycke will host the event, and admission is $60 per person. Tickets must be reserved in advance. The Gala Cocktail Party will take place on Saturday March 24 at Gurney’s Inn (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk). From 4 to 8 p.m., attendees will enjoy a buffet, open bar and live music from Booga Sugar. Tickets are $75 in advance and $100 at the door – if the event’s not sold out.
