Second Annual East Hampton Fall Festival To Offer Something For All Ages

The final Hamptons autumn extravaganza will descend upon East Hampton on Saturday, October 20. Hosted by the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce, the Second Annual Fall Festival will fill the Village with entertaining fall happenings from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Building on last year’s success, we’re expecting a crowd in the Village,” East Hampton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Steven Ringel noted.

Over 50 booths, featuring local artists, shopkeepers and non-profits, will be set up in downtown Herrick Park. More than 20 non-profits, including the Guild Hall Gift Shop, the Hamptons International Film Festival – who is hosting a “garage sale” featuring collectible movie poster and merchandise from past years, the East Hampton Historical Society and LVIS, are participating this year.

Many East End favorites, including Hoo Doo Loungers, the East Hampton Bluegrass All Stars, Steven Tekulsky’s the Judge and the Jury Americana Experience and the East Hampton High School Jazz Band, will entertain with live music.

There will also be a plethora of happenings geared towards children. YMCA is presenting a jumping castle and climbing wall, Children’s Museum of the East End will offer an area where little ones can work on an art project in the gazebo, and The Art Nanny will also focus on arts themed programming. The playground at Herrick Park will be open all day and a special “Magical Tree House” in Herrick Park will be constructed by David and Jean Stiles (with materials supplied by Riverhead Building Supply) for children to play on and explore.

“Events like the Fall Festival showcase the best in our community,” YMCA East Hampton RECenter’s Glenn O.Vickers II shared. “It’s been a pleasure watching these endeavors grow each year from concept to reality.”

For those jumping at the chance to showoff their Halloween attire, a costume parade will be held at 12 p.m. The Fall Festival will also boast a haunted pumpkin patch and free pumpkin carving station.

A live mural painting will captivate viewers, while antique fire trucks, boats and other emergency vehicles will also amuse attendees.

When fairgoers need a break from the fun, they can fuel up with bites that will range from fresh lobster rolls from Buoy One to wood-fired pizza from Around the Fire to hand-made pretzels from Knot of this World to delicious options from Noah’s on the Road. Those craving something sweet can visit Kona Ice or Mr. Softee. Eateries throughout the Village will also be offering specials through the New York State Craft Beverages Program.

“It’s a true community event to celebrate fall and the harvest season, as well as to showcase our wonderful businesses and organizations,” Ringel added.
