If you have found an award winning Halloween outfit for your four-legged family member and want to show it off at a social-distance friendly fundraiser, commemorate All Hallows’ Eve with Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation at the Wag-O-Ween Spooktacular on Sunday, October 18.
“Be sure to bring your pet in costume for our costume contest with guest judges – dog foster dad and funny guy, Des Bishop, the beautiful Hannah Berner from Bravo’s Summer House, and the piano man himself, Buddy Mercury!” Kate McEntee, Southampton Animal Shelter Director of Adoptions and Public Relations, noted.
In addition to the costume contest, the Howloween excitement will include a doggie costume parade, photo booth, raffles, and more.

“It is going to be a great day to have fun and support shelter pets. We have great raffles and prizes for the contest,” McEntee said. “A big thank you to all our supporters and donors – Hampton Coffee, Village Cheese Shop, Robyn’s Kitchen and Gemelli’s Gelato!”
The spooky festivities will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Those interested in participating in the pet costume contest should email [email protected] to register. There is a $5 donation per dog for the doggie costume parade and $10 donation per family for photo booth. Attendees must wear a mask.
Later on in the month, Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation is hosting a virtual Strut Your Mutt pet walk on Saturday, October 24 and Pitbulls & Pumpkins fundraiser on Sunday, October 25.
