Hamptons Winter Break Virtual And In Person Camps And Classes

Looking for an enriching workshop to keep the kids occupied during winter break? There’s plenty of East End options.

East End Arts (141 East Main Street, Riverhead, www.eastendarts.org) is presenting a Winter Wonderland Camp with Melissa Haupt. The camp for ages 5 to 12-years-old will take place Monday, February 15 through Friday, February 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sessions will explore art, theater, music, and dance.

Bay Street (www.baystreet.org) will virtually present My Life The Musical! Vacation Camp with Bethany Dellapolla. The workshop will take place Monday, February 15 through Friday, February 19. Starting at 9:30 a.m., students will learn about different aspects of musical theatre.

Southampton Cultural Center (25 Pond Lane, Southampton, www.scc-arts.org) will hold Movement and Art Camp with A&G Dance Company on Monday, February 15 and Wednesday, February 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The class is geared towards ages 3 to 5-years-old. On Thursday, February 18, Intro to Contemporary Dance for Boys & Girls will take place 4:00 p.m. The class is also geared towards ages 3 to 5-years-old.

South Fork Natural History Museum (377 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton, sofo.org) will hold Winter School Recess Programs with SOFO Environmental Educators. Monday, February 15 will cover Birds of Vineyard Field, Tuesday, February 16 will focus on Wooly Bear Caterpillar Search, Thursday, February 18 will revolve around What Do Bugs Do in Winter?, and on Friday, February 19, it’s time to Learn How to Identify Animal Sign. The one-hour nature walks for all ages will commence at 10:30 a.m.

Quogue Wildlife Refuge (3 Old Country Road, Quogue, quoguewildliferefuge.org) will offer wildlife, education, and fun Tuesday, February 16 through Friday, February 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Programs, which will be completely outdoors, will include a hike, a craft, and meeting animals.

Westhampton Free Library (westhamptonlibrary.com) will hold a Winter Scene Painting (Virtual Program) for grades 4 to 6 on Tuesday, February 16 at 1:30 p.m., Preschool Story Hour (Virtual Program) Preschool on Wednesday, February 17 at 1:30 p.m., Booktalking My Bookshelf With Ms. Andrea (Virtual Program) for grades 7 to 12 on Wednesday, February 17 at 6:00 p.m., Little Creations (Virtual Program) for babies, toddlers, and preschool on Thursday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m., Ready To Read Fridays (Virtual Program) for toddlers and preschool on Friday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m., First Chapter Fridays (Virtual Program) for grades 4 to 6 on Friday, February 19 at 5:00 p.m., and Light Up Glass Pyramids (Virtual Program) for grades 4 to 12 on Friday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m.

How Media Romanticizes Unhealthy Behaviors, an online workshop, on Wednesday, February 17 at 5:00 p.m. The Library will also host Online Games with the YA Librarians! on Tuesday, February 16 at 4:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 18 at 4:30 p.m., as well as a Weekend Take & Make DIY To-Go – Paint Chip Painting on Friday, February 19 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Rogers Memorial Library (rogersmemorial.com) will present Tiny Tots Crafts: Transportation Collage (ages 18 to 35 months) on Tuesday, February 16 all day, Fun with Play Hooray (ages birth to 5-years-old) on Wednesday, February 17 at 11:00 a.m., Stories to Snuggle By on Thursday, February 18 all day, Stories with Friends (ages 18 months to 5-years-old) on Thursday, February 18 all day, and Songs and Stories (preschool) on Friday, February 19 all day.

East End Cares and The Clamshell Foundation are teaming up with arts educator Laurie Krupp and Golden Eagle Arts to host a free virtual collage workshop for kids ages 6 to 12-years-old. The virtual workshops will be held via Zoom on Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Each class is limited to ten students and the complimentary collage supply bag can be picked up at Golden Eagle.
