LaValle Honors Local Valedictorians And Salutatorians

With high school graduation season upon us, many seniors are looking forward to being handing that little piece of paper (their diploma) which says “your did it, good job.” But a few select students who were outstanding in their class were honored in a special way.

The valedictorians and salutatorians from surrounding areas were honored by Senator Ken LaValle at three ceremonies through out the Districts on Friday, June 14.

Senator LaValle will be presenting each student with a copy of the NYS Senate Resolution he passed in the New York State Senate honoring each of the students for their academic achievement.

Assemblyman Fred Thiele was also in attendance at the ceremony held at Hamptons Bays Middle School Library. Thiele passed a similar resolution in the Assembly for these students.

Mattituck- Cutchogue valedictorian Caitlin Leigh Penny and salutatorian Michael Penny, Greenport valedictorian Alexander Joseph Whittle and salutatorian Megan Demarest, Shelter Island valedictorian Katy Binder and salutatorian Morgan McCarthy and Southold valedictorian Shelby L. Pickerell and salutatorian Sydney Campbell were honored at during a ceremony at the Mattituck- Cutchogue High School Library.

Hampton Bays valedictorian Harry Fotopoulos and salutatorian Jesse Dubrowsky, Bridgehampton valedictorian Aditya S Nugraha and salutatorian Bryzeida Perez, East Hampton valedictorian Ian Daniel Lynch and salutatorian Michael Burns, Sag Harbor valedictorian Dana Clark Harvey and salutatorian Gabrielle Gardner, Southampton valedictorian Vincent Ralph Doromal Ching-Roa and salutatorian Lindsay Wickersham, and Westhahmpton Beach valedictorian Nicasia Beebe-Wang and salutatorian Marielle Ray were honored at a ceremony held at the Hampton Bays Middle School Library.

Eastport South Manor valedictorian Kendall Fitzgerald and salutatorian Anna Krauss, Center Moriches valedictorian Renee Nelson and salutatorian Anthony LaRosa, III, Comsewogue valedictorian Krystal Ramsamooj and salutatorian Kelly Ann Kosciuk, Longwood valedictorian Daniel Chaffkin and salutatorian Joseph DeQuarto, Miller Place valedictorian Minjia Chang and salutatorian Meghan Joline, Mount Sinai valedictorian Nicholas A. O’Mara and salutatorian Camille Jwo, Port Jefferson valedictorian Gabriel Davis and salutatorian Zachary Graziano, Riverhead valedictorian Daniel Edward Raynor and salutatorian Daniel Tysz, Rocky Point valedictorian Sidarth Menon and salutatorian Elizabeth Kidney, Shoreham Wading River valedictorian Cari Lynn Gostic and salutatorian Taylor Brant and William Floyd valedictorian Zeng (Jason) Lin and salutatorian Emily Vigliotta were honored during a ceremony held at the Eastport-South Manor High School Library.
