Save the date this holiday season for Holidays at the Hangar! An artisan craft market will take place at the East Hampton Airport on Saturday, December 11th from 12pm to 4pm. This is the perfect opportunity to get some holiday shopping done while getting into the holiday spirit, of course!
Every item at the market is locally sourced and handmade by more than 25 incredibly talented and unique vendors. The fair will have items for everyone ranging from leather goods to jewelry, baked treats, artwork, and so much more!
Michelle from Walnut Street Bakers will be one of the attending vendors this year. She says, “I love doing craft fairs because I get to meet and greet new customers. It’s so nice to see people appreciate your work, that makes it all worth it!” She also says that she specifically loves craft shows on the east end. “I find the patrons are more like-minded and appreciative of the arts.” Michelle can’t wait to attend Holidays at the Hangar this year where she will have her intricately designed lemon sugar cookies for sale to satisfy those sweet tooth cravings, and as her motto goes, “make the world a better place, one cookie at a time.”

Not only is the fair distinct and festive, but the gifts you find for your loved ones will be one of a kind and locally made. Supporting small businesses and independent artists is just one more way to spread holiday cheer.
This will be Andrea of AndreaBeadazzles first time at a craft show in the Hamptons and she is looking forward to being a part of the event! Her uniquely designed beaded jewelry incorporates raw materials including glass and crystal beads, shells, pearls, filigree, metal lace, shells, wood, and semi-precious stones. She says, “It’s a riot of possible combinations!” The holiday season has sparked different design choices for Andrea as she likes to include gift options for everyone. She says, “At this time of year, I shift some of my design choices to correspond to holidays; this year’s natural pearl Christmas earrings have been a hit.” She also noted how much she loves this area and living with water all around her, which has impacted her recent creations. “This past summer I started embellishing shells. You’ll see them on my tables Saturday!” Not one of the AndreaBeadazzles pieces are the same, so you will be sure to find a gift like no other when you stop by!
The event is child-friendly. Santa will be making his way to the airport for a special visit and photo opportunities. Plus, there will be a kid’s craft table for the young ones to make spectacular holiday-themed creations to take home.

Shannon of North Fork Creations can’t wait for the upcoming craft show. She says, “I love seeing people’s faces when they see an item they love and hearing their stories.” Her one-of-a-kind ornaments, glassware, and dishes are ready to be gifted for the holidays! She says, “The holidays open up a whole new canvas to create with! During the holidays I make garlands, ornaments, candy dishes, etc. that I don’t make during the rest of the year.
I love Christmas and am always adding new ornament designs into our offerings.” North Fork Creations is all about being local. Their motto is “Inspired by the beauty that surrounds us.” This is why Shannon especially loves doing craft shows on the east end. She says, “The East End, both the North Fork and the Hamptons, has such a great mix of people! You have the locals as well as people wintering out here, plus people weekending from the city or one of the surrounding areas or states. It just ends up being this great mix with a small-town feel.”
Enjoy holiday food treats and sip on complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and refreshments as you browse the exceptional handmade, and most importantly local, holiday gifts from some of the most talented creators in the area. The airport hangar will be decorated for the holiday season, having you feeling merry and bright!
