JULIANNE MOORE AND JESSE EISENBERG READ FROM FRECKLEFACE STRAWBERRY
Bring the whole family to a magical literary afternoon at the Southampton Playhouse! Julianne Moore may be an Oscar-winning actress, but kids may know her just as well as the author of Freckleface Strawberry, her acclaimed book about a young girl with freckles who learns to accept her differences. Featuring colorful illustrations by Leuyen Phan, Freckleface Strawberry was inspired by Moore’s own childhood experiences. Since its original release in 2007, the book has inspired children around the world and led to several spinoffs as well as a musical. Moore will join the Playhouse for this family-friendly event to read from her work and sign copies of the original book. She will be joined by her longtime colleague Jesse Eisenberg, who recently finished directing Moore in an upcoming musical for A24. Moore and Eisenberg will speak to us about how they both learned, as Freckleface Strawberry does, that “the things that make you different also make you YOU.” This special book signing event is free and open to children of all ages.
