The East Hampton Town Trustees’ 34th Annual Largest Clam Contest

Join us on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, from 12 – 3 pm, for the East Hampton Town Trustees’ 34th Annual Largest Clam Contest at the Amagansett Life Saving Station.

Go clamming. Find the biggest clam. Bring it to the event. Prizes will be awarded for the largest clam in each of the local Harbors; Accabonac Harbor, Three Mile Harbor, Napeague Harbor & Lake Montauk. One person will win the Grand Prize of the Largest Overall Clam.
Not a clam digger? That’s OKAY! Try your cooking skills and enter our Clam Chowder Contest. There will be two categories. One for best red chowder (Manhatten-like) and one for White Chowder (New England-like).

There will be delicious Bonac fare to indulge your taste buds. Sample some clam chowder, local clams on the half shell & BBQ. The South Fork Bakery will be on site selling their incredible clam pies. Proceeds from these sales will go back to the non-profit which provides meaningful employment to adults living with disabilities. As this event continues to grow each year, the Trustees want to be sure that we all have the opportunity to sample the best of Bonac’s fare. New this year, each attendee will be given a set number of free tickets upon entry to be redeemed for chowder, clams and BBQ. If tastebuds are delighted, additional tickets will be available for purchase

The Lynn Blue Band will be providing the tunes and Mr. Softee will be on site so you can purchase your favorite treat.
All Largest Clam entries and Clam Chowder entries must be brought to the event site NO LATER than 12:00 pm (NOON) on the day of the event. You will register your entry with the appropriate booth. Contest rules are posted on the Trustee website.
