Workshop: Small Pictures, Big Feelings: Comic Art for Healing with Malavika Kannan
Join us this Saturday for a drawing workshop with current resident artist Malavika Kannan! Where do we put feelings that are too enormous, difficult, or lonely to shape into words? In this hands-on workshop, writer and artist Malavika Kannan will guide participants through using the hybrid form of comics to process and narrate difficult emotions.
We’ll explore:
How visual metaphors help express what words can’t
The somatic and soothing power of drawing
Turning emotions into speech bubbles, lines, and shapes — our “talking squiggles”
No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided. Come discover how comic art can transform feelings into something you can hold, share, and heal through.
RSVP now to reserve your spot — space is limited!
