Montauk is the perfect place for food lovers to indulge in perfectly cooked seafood, and, even better, it’s local and as fresh as it gets. To prove this is true, the Montauk Friends of Erin and the Kiwanis Club of East Hampton are presenting a shellfish feast, complete with the Hamptons’ best restaurants, caterers and vendors during their second annual Montauk Seafood Festival.

Now offering two tented locations after last year’s launch drew well over 7,000 people, attendees can enjoy the tasty treats from 12 till 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 13, and Sunday, September 14, 2014 at both Uihlein’s Marina and the Montauk Marine Basin.
Seafood lovers will be in heaven with lobster rolls, seafood crepes and wontons, clam chowders, sushi, octopus, crab cakes and seafood tacos, just to name a few. Brews from the local Montauk Brewing Co. and wines from Duckwalk and Pindar vineyards will also be available, as well as sweet-treats and frozen desserts.
Participating vendors include Gosman’s Dock, Gurney’s Montauk, Sloppy Tuna, The Harbor Raw Bar & Lounge, Hampton Seafood Co., Bostwick’s, Sammy’s Restaurant and Gringo’s Burrito Grill, among others.
This fish festival is anticipated to be bigger than ever, offering fun for the whole family. Daily entertainment includes a snapper derby, goldfish racing, raffles and crab races, and will be complete with live music and special guests and speakers throughout the weekend.
This rain-or-shine event includes free admission and parking and will raise funds for various community service projects, including Toys for Tots, Meals on Wheels, pediatric trauma and youth services and scholarships.
