With a stellar starting rotation and pretty solid infield and outfield (if they can stay healthy), New York Mets fans should have a lot to cheer about this year. Despite not having his best outing, Mets’ ace Jacob deGrom still came away with the win during the Mets’ home opener at Citi Field. The 2014 NL Rookie of the Year went 6 1/3 innings during Monday’s 2-0 win over the Philadelphia Phillies, showing fans and critics that this is definitely a season where ya’ gotta believe.

deGrom quickly became a fan favorite last season, and we believe an East End favorite will catch on just as fast at Citi Field this season. Montauk Brewing Company’s Session India Pale Ale made its debut on Monday, in front of 43,947, the largest regular-season crowd that the stadium has ever housed. The inaugural IPA was sold to Rick White, a Montauk local and friend of the brewery. 2015 should be a pretty exciting year for the Mets, which will hopefully include a spot in the World Series, and as Mets fans enjoy the action at Citi Field, we expect to spot Montauk Brewing Company’s nautical green cans all over the stadium.
