Calling All Brew Lovers: East End Craft Beer Festival Is Back

Within the past couple of years the Long Island craft beer scene has seen tremendous growth and we’ve got a feeling that brew aficionados are certainly pleased with the surge of local breweries popping up across the area.

On Friday, May 13th, just in time for the start of Long Island Craft Beer Week, Hotel Indigo East End’s Bistro 72 will offer the opportunity to try several of those one-of-a-kind pints during the 2nd Annual Beerfest.

From 7 to 10 p.m., attendees will enjoy an evening of East End craft beer tastings, music from Miles to Dayton, and hors d’oeuvres, chili and chowder by Bistro 72. As attendees learn about what makes Long Island beer so special, they can find out why it’s really better to drink local.

Participating breweries will include Southampton Publick House, Twin Fork Beer Co, Montauk Brewing Company, Port Jefferson Brewing Company, Crooked Ladder Brewing Company, Long Ireland Beer Company, Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., Bellport Brewing Company and Great South Bay Brewery. Other participating local partners include Palmer Vineyards, LiV – Long Island Spirits, The Murph’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix, Brew Crew Cycles, Hampton Cigar Company, The Subtle Tea Company, Backyard Brine Pickle Co., Vines & Branches, That Guy Event Photo & Design, The Village Cheese Shop, Tainos Sofrito & Mojo, Peconic River Preserves, LLC, Raphael Vineyard and Winery, and Agora- the Little Greek Market.

Admission to the event is $55, and includes unlimited tasting and appetizers accompanied by the sounds of Miles to Dayton. Attendees will also receive a complimentary souvenir tasting glass.
