Over Memorial Day weekend, the Amagansett Food Institute will host the Amagansett Farmers Market seasonal opening, featuring live music, tastings, and local food for purchase. The Market, which showcases locally grown produce prepared by local and regional providers, will debut on Friday, May 27th at 7 a.m.
“It’s important that people understand that there is a seasonal aspect to growing on the East End of Long Island,” noted Kathleen Masters, Executive Director of Amagansett Food Institute. “They should expect in only produce that is actually available on the East End. It’s fresh, seasonal and local.”
A few of the vendors featured at the 2016 Market include Amagansett Sea Salt Co., Amber Waves Farm, Arlotta Food Studio, East End Apiaries, Hampton Bagel, Gula Gula Empanadas, Josephine’s Feast!, Peconic River Preserves, and Quail Hill Farm.
Everyone’s favorite pick-me-up, Hampton Coffee, will also be present. Breakfast items from Sea Bean, fresh juice and smoothies from Solutions Organic Juice Bar, ice cream by Joe and Liza’s Ice Cream, baked goods, local breads, sandwiches and salads will be offered for sale throughout the day as well. There’s something for everyone at this Market!
