Locally grown produce, fresh flowers, and locally made specialty items – who doesn’t love to spend a morning or afternoon perusing through the local farmers’ markets? Luckily for us, East End markets are launching for the season soon.
The East Hampton Farmers’ Market (136 North Main Street, East Hampton, www.facebook.com), a “curated farmers market” that showcases several of the “best and happiest” East End-based farmer/producers, will make its 2017 debut on Friday, May 12, and remain open through Friday, September 1. The Farmers’ Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Westhampton Beach Farmers’ Market (85 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach, www.facebook.com) will open for the season on Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – rain or shine.

The Havens Farmers Market at Shelter Island Historical Society (16 South Ferry Road, Shelter Island, shelterislandhistorical.org) begins on Saturday, May 27, at 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will remain open through Saturday, September 2.
The Sag Harbor Farmers’ Market (Intersection of Bay Street and Burke Street, Sag Harbor, sagharborfarmersmarket.org) will launch its 14th season on Saturday, May 20. You can expect old favorites and a few new ones you’re bound to love. The market will be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Saturday, October 28.
The Amagansett Farmers’ Market (367 Main Street, Amagansett, www.amberwavesfarm.org), which was purchased by Amber Waves Farm, has re-opened for the season. You can find a plethora of delicious finds from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, with the exception of Wednesdays when the Market is closed. However, after July 4th it will be open 7 days a week.
Hayground School Farmers’ Market (151 Mitchell Lane, Bridgehampton, www.facebook.com) will be open on Fridays from 3 to 6:30 p.m., starting Friday, May 26 through Friday, September 1.
St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (165 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays, 631-728-1104, www.stmaryshb.org) will host its Farmers’ Market on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting Saturday, May 27.

The Springs Farmers’ Market at Ashawagh Hall (780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton, www.facebook.com) will also open for the season on Saturday, May 27. Stop by Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to stock up on a variety of delicious items.
The Southampton Village Farmers’ Market (25 Jobs Lane, Southampton, www.southamptonchamber.com) will debut on Sunday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and return every Sunday – all summer long.
The Montauk Farmers’ Market (On the Village Green, Montauk, www.montaukchamber.com) – whose motto is “‘f they can ‘Bake it, Catch it, Grow it’ you can purchase it – returns on Thursday, June 12, and is open every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., through October 9. A portion of the proceeds from the market will benefit the Montauk Food Pantry.
Nurel’s Farmers’ Market (226 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, www.nurelsfarmersmarket.com) is open daily, year-round from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
