The weekend that seafood fans have dreamt about is finally here. On Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10, Montauk Friends of Erin and the Kiwanis of East Hampton are presenting the 2017 Montauk Seafood Festival under a big tent in the field across from Uihlein’s Marina.
Attendees will nosh on signature dishes from Montauk favorites like Duryea’s, Muse @ The End, East by Northeast, Gurney’s Montauk, The Market, Shagwong, Tauk at Trails End, Montauk Pearls, Sloppy Tuna, Red Hook Lobster, John’s Drive Inn, Lynn’s Hula Hut, Ruschmeyer’s, Westlake Fish House, Gringo’s Burrito Grill, Soursop Tree Cafe, and Craftburger.
Local eateries will present everything from lobsters to lobster rolls to fish stew to crab cakes to fish sandwiches to seafood wontons to tuna tartare to seafood sliders to oyster po’ boys to fish tacos, and much more. Long Island-based wineries and breweries, including Montauk Brewing Co., Pindar Vineyards, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, Great South Bay Brewery, and Duck Walk Vineyard, will be showcasing their delicious sips. Options from Coors, Blue Moon and Pepsi will also be available.

When you’re in need of a break from devouring incredible local eats, you can check out goldfish racing, crab racing, henna graphics by Eakta, drip painting by Joyce Raimondo, live entertainment by Alyson Faith and the Funkytown Playground, an ocean petting zoo, and live music from 3Bs and 2/3 Goat.
Admission is $2 and free for kids. The festival will be held from 12 to 5 p.m. on both days.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will support Toys for Tots, Pediatric Trauma, Montauk St. Patrick’s Day Parade, scholarships and more.
