Montauk Brewing Company (MBC) fans have four new refreshing reasons to get excited about – Lemon Lime, Mixed Berry, Black Cherry and Raspberry Lime Montauk Hard Seltzer. The recently launched hard seltzers are already creating a buzz, so we caught up with Vaughan Cutillo, Montauk Brewing Company Co-Founder, to learn more about the sparkling sips.
How long has this been in the works?
VC: Montauk Hard Seltzer has been in the making for quite some time now. The lifestyle aspect of our brand just made sense to do this type of beverage. The process takes a long time, from flavor development, packaging design and approvals, it’s a long road and we are thrilled to be releasing it!
Why expand into hard seltzer?
VC: Montauk Hard Seltzer just made sense. We are a beach driven, lifestyle brand so a flavorful and low calorie/low sugar/low carb drink was perfect.
Tell us about the initial four flavors.
VC: Hints of each flavor are key, light and subtle, but super clean and fresh. The four flavors are Black Cherry, Mixed Berry, Raspberry Lime and Lemon Lime. All clock in at 4.5% ABV, 1g sugar, 2g carbs and are gluten free.
Will they be available at the taproom?
VC: We will be selling Montauk Hard Seltzer in the taproom. The fans spoke and we listened, they’ve literally been knocking down our door for this and we are really proud of the liquid.

Where will they be available locally?
VC: Six packs of Black Cherry and Mixed Berry, as well as variety 12 packs consisting of those flavors, plus Lemon Lime and Raspberry Lime are now available throughout Long Island, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island and Westchester.
Will MBC be doing any seasonal flavors like you do with the beer?
VC: Not yet, we want to focus on these four flavors as we launch. But hey, you never know about the future! We want to hear from the fans on which flavors are their favorite.
What will spring at Montauk Brewing Company bring?
VC: We had a terrific 2019 and an incredible winter, but warmer temperatures are coming and we can’t wait to see what this year will hold for the company! Erin Burns is our taproom and events manager, and is always thinking of ways to fundraise and share the spirit of Montauk through our beer and hard seltzer! Stay tuned…
