We caught up with Anneris to ask a few questions. Congratulations on your launch and for taking some time to speak with us here at Hamptons.com:
Tell us about Montauk Wine Company. What sparked your interest in this endeavor?
AB: We felt that we wanted to make a wine that reminded us of Montauk and its natural beauty and free spirit.
Why launch with a rosé?
AB: We knew we could make an appealing premier rosé blend that would pair well with food and be an excellent choice for all summertime meals, events and activities.
Where are the grapes harvested?
AB: The grapes are all locally harvested on the North Fork of Long Island.
The rosé label that was created in an artistic collaboration with photographer Michael Dweck is quite enticing. Why this label and why this artist?
AB: Michael is an amazing photographer and visual artist, we always enjoyed and followed his work and were delighted to work with him and chose this image and then he created the rest of our label design. The image comes from his iconic book on Montauk The End.
What can we look forward to in the future from Montauk Wine Company?
AB: Montauk Wine Company will next release a white wine blend also made on the North Fork for a Spring 2018 release in addition to our Montauk Summer Rosé and a red wine to follow.
