It was a friendly battle of artists versus writers at Herrick Park in East Hampton. Former New York Yankees manager and current MLB Chief Baseball Officer, Joe Torre threw out the 68th annual Artists & Writers Charity Softball Game’s first pitch and former New York Mets reliever John Franco took the mound to pitch a few innings for the Writers team, who defeated the Artists team 9-6.
