Hundreds attended a memorial for George Floyd and other black lives who have suffered under police brutality and oppressive racism in Southampton Village on June 4, under sweltering heat and COVID-19 preparations. The mood was somber and commemorative as Dr. Richard ‘Junie’ Wingfield opened the ceremonies with a Maya Angelou quote.
