More than 270 New Yorkers gathered as the Green-Wood Historic Fund presented its highest honor to Dozier Hasty and Nancy Havens-Hasty, longtime Brooklyn Heights residents and advocates of the borough’s cultural life during Green-Wood’s tenth annual fundraising gala. The gala proceeds, which totaled over $200,000, will support the restoration of the landmarked Weir Greenhouse, which will open in early 2018 and Green-Wood’s planned Education & Welcome Center to be built directly adjacent to the greenhouse.
