The Hampton Bays Rotary Club will celebrate its 40th anniversary at their Autumn Evening by the Sea fundraiser at Oakland’s Restaurant on Thursday, September 29th from 6 to 8pm. Attendees will enjoy sumptuous appetizers and a great raffle along with a cash bar. The event raises funds for Hampton Bays Rotary’s charitable projects which include school scholarhsips and community improvement efforts. This year’s event sponsor is the Julie Crowley Team at Saunders & Associates real estate.
This year’s honoree at the event is Frances Oldeack, a lifetime resident of Hampton Bays with a lifelong record of service for the community. She will be recognized for her decades of dedication to the community.
The Julie Crowley Team explains, “This annual event happens in the fall at Oakland’s Restaurant and supports all the good works that Hampton Bays Rotary Club does. If we are inspired by a local citizen who exemplifies Rotary’s motto of ‘service above self’ then we like to celebrate that individual at this event. This year we are celebrating Fran Oldeack.”

The Julie Crowley team describes how the Rotary Club supports the local community in a variety of ways such as providing academic and performing arts scholarships to graduating seniors at Hampton Bays High School, supporting the Hampton Bays food pantry, providing life rings at the Shinnecock Canal (which have so far saved three lives) and funding a water station at the Pine Meadows East Quogue dog park.
Hampton Bays Rotary Club also funded the signage at the Old Ponquogue Bridge Marine Park, where there’s fishing, scuba diving, boat launch, gazebo and picnic area.
Globally the Hampton Bays Rotary Club has also contributed to funding a well for drinking water in the Sudan and have sent water filtration drinking straws to Ghana.
The Julie Crowley Team proudly supports the Hampton Bays Rotary Club.
