If you know Hamptons real estate (or read my column, or watch the Travel Channel), you’ve probably seen and heard from Sarah Doud—on a panel, sponsoring an event, or on one of the many media platforms that tap her for insight. She’s one of the most active and relatable voices on the East End, so it makes perfect sense that Bill Wright of PAR East Mortgage reached out to her to launch their newest project, Hamptons On-Air.
“I reconnected with Bill at a networking lunch and it just clicked,” Sarah says. “I think there are lots of people that have that thought after a great conversation where they say, ‘We should do a podcast.’ The difference is—we actually followed through.”
Beyond their professional expertise, Bill and Sarah are both lifelong Hamptons locals, so the podcast feels like a natural extension of how they already show up for this community. After a few episodes, I can already tell that for Sarah, Hamptons “On-Air” is entirely “On-Brand.”
“Luckily, Hamptons real estate and lifestyle are always active and keep Bill and myself busy with topics,” she explains. “Bill is very conversational, I have a media background, and we’re both lifelong Hamptons locals, so it’s easy for us to connect to guests and listeners in ways that feel authentic and tuned in locally.”
The podcast blends real estate intelligence with local color, giving listeners a quick but meaningful look at what’s happening across the Hamptons housing market—while also spotlighting local businesses, events, and community organizations that shape daily life from Westhampton to Montauk.
“It’s not just a podcast; it’s been a community door-opener,” says Sarah. “Our first episode was with a board member from the Bridgehampton Museum. That conversation has re-connected me with people who have known my family for generations. And this weekend I’ll be a part of the Museums holiday event – where I sponsored the Tree Lighting. It all comes full circle to community.”
I’ve interviewed Sarah before, and I’ve also frequently heard her on the Happening in the Hamptons podcast. What stands out most is how she can translate complex market trends—interest rates, inventory shifts, pricing strategies—into clear common language that you can actually use.
That same skill is front and center on Hamptons On-Air, where she and Bill keep things informed, but informal: you can listen in on this smart, grounded conversation – while you’re on the beach, courtesy of Hamptons.com Free Public Wi-Fi.
“It’s great for both year-round listeners and visitors,” Sarah adds. “One of my favorite moments so far was hearing the Southampton Village Mayor tease a possible July 4th flyover for the 250th anniversary of the country.”
Clocking in under the 15-minute mark, the Hamptons On-Air Podcast is an easy lift for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of Hamptons real estate and stay plugged into life on the East End. If you’re looking to buy a new home, list your home for sale, or just find out what’s really going on in the Hamptons market, this is a simple, approachable place to start.
In each episode, Sarah, Bill, and their guests break down the Hamptons real estate market in ways that make it make sense—even if you’re not a veteran real estate agent like Sarah or mortgage expert like Bill. Honestly, even if you are a veteran Hamptons real estate agent or mortgage expert, Hamptons On-Air earns a spot in your regular rotation.
