Håndværk, the luxury lifestyle brand renowned for its elevated casual wear and high-quality craftsmanship, is excited to announce the opening of its first physical retail store at 30 Main Street, Southampton, NY. This location holds sentimental value as it is steps away from where the founders, a husband-and-wife team, first met. Nestled next to the bustling Sant Ambroeus, a popular gathering spot in the village, the store is poised to become a new focal point for fashion and design aficionados.
Reflecting on their journey, the founders of Håndværk, Esteban Saba and Petra Brichnacova, share, “Opening our first store in Southampton, where our personal story began, feels like a beautiful serendipity. It’s more than just a location; it’s a celebration of our past and a cornerstone for the future we aspire to build with our community.”
Designed by creative director Petra Brichnacova, the store is a testament to Håndværk’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship. The interior features exquisite Dinesen flooring and a decor that embodies soft minimalism, creating a serene shopping environment that mirrors the natural beauty of Southampton—a renowned summer destination. Brichnacova elaborates, “Every aspect of the store, from the materials selected to the overall ambiance, is a reflection of the high standards we uphold in our products.”
By integrating physical retail, the brand aims to enhance customer service and further enrich the customer experience. “Our store is more than just a space; it’s a hub for like-minded brands and artisans who share our ethos of exceptional design and sustainability,” Håndværk founders share. This new venture is part of Håndværk’s strategic expansion, complementing its successful e-commerce and wholesale channels. “We are actively exploring additional locations, with NYC poised as a likely next step,” the founders add.
The Southampton store offers exclusive in-store collections and features collaborations with other brands that share Håndværk’s vision. Collaborations include Gestalten books, Audo Copenhagen furniture, as well as FRAMA personal goods such as soaps and diffusers – all of which a selection is available. It also marks a significant step in bringing the brand’s lifestyle component to life, allowing customers to fully engage with the craftsmanship and ethos of Håndværk.
As a community-centric brand, the founders themselves will manage the store, focusing on building strong relationships and fostering a community around this new location. In addition, the store will serve as a venue for community events and a showcase for local and international artists, strengthening its ties to the cultural fabric of Southampton.
Håndværk Southampton is officially open at 30 Main Street, Southampton, NY and carries the brand’s latest spring/summer 2024 collections of menswear and womenswear.
