When I think about Springs, I think about artists, I think about fishermen. You think about incredible waterscapes, and I think about strong people. Springs is its own world in the Hamptons, with its own culture and its own history that is extremely distinct.
This distinctive culture is worth preserving, which starts with celebrating Springs’ many historical landmarks. Preservation for what is unique and important in Springs is at the Heart of Springs Gala on August 6th.
Remarkable, iconic structures in Springs, such as the Springs Library, Ashawagh Hall, Parsons Blacksmith Shop, and the Springs Community Church, are all special places in the area. Ashawagh Hall is a home away from home for local artists in the area who showcase their work. The Springs Community Church is not just a house of worship but is the headquarters of the Springs Food Pantry.
All of these buildings are historical, and all of them deserve to be taken care of.
The Gala will benefit the Springs Improvement Society, the Springs Community Church, and the Springs Historical Society. Peter Weiss and Jane Hastay will play live jazz music, and craft beer and wine will be provided by the best beer in the Hamptons—Springs Brewery. Attire is “fisherman formal,” and Damien O’Donnell will cater it; you can expect some unbelieve seafood at this event.
Tickets are just $150 and the event runs from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.
