INTERVIEW: JETSWEAT Co-founder Erin Frankel And Her New Wellness Pop Up In Bridgehampton

Veronica Chumbiby Veronica Chumbi

Erin Frankel, Co-founder of JETSWEAT

JETSWEAT is a digital fitness platform that works with all the top studios in New York. For the month of July, they will be hosting pop-up events with a rotating roster of classes at A Room at the Beach (2668 Montauk Highway Bridgehampton, NY 11932).

I had the pleasure of speaking with Co-founder Erin Frankel regarding the inspiration for JETSWEAT and why A Room at the Beach was the perfect location for this wellness pop-up.

Where did the inspiration for JETSWEAT come from?

EF: Before co-founding JETSWEAT four years ago, I was working as a professional food writer in NYC where I was dining out at least four times a week, ultimately leading me to start exercising more because of the social aspect of my job. Alongside being a writer, I was the 12th hire for an early stage technology startup where there was an ever changing schedule. I was constantly running around and struggled to make my yoga classes on time and maintain a solid workout routine. I kept thinking, “I’m always so concerned about making it to class!” and it begged me to analyze what kind of work I really wanted to be doing. My cofounder, Lexi, and I came together when we both saw the rapidly growing demand for high-quality health and fitness content from home, solving the consumer pain points of rushing from class to class and drowning in one-time fees.

For me, JETSWEAT was a marriage between my busy professional life and my personal passion for boutique fitness. And as a frequent traveler, I could never find an app that could let me take all my favorite boutique studio classes with me.

I knew how important working out was for both my physical health and my mental game and I knew I needed to find something that fit my busy lifestyle so that I could make it a real, effective routine.

My co-founder, Lexi and I researched the industry looking for numbers to back up the trend toward boutique classes and found that In a time when everyone from ClassPass to Peloton is attempting to bring the studio workout experience home, we wanted to create a mobile first platform for people like ourselves who want access to our favorite boutique studio workouts while we are traveling- something we can easily do anytime anywhere with enough space for a yoga mat and a solid WIFI connection.

The idea behind JETSWEAT is to bring real studio experiences directly to your fingertips wherever you are, whether that be in your hotel room, your living room, your office, or the beach.

As busy professionals and boutique fitness enthusiasts, we know how precious time is, and the importance of staying active while on-the-go. We are invested in building a community of top studio partners, providing great workouts, customized training, and high-definition video content to our users at a low fee, and while making it accessible anywhere in the world.

Both of us frequent a variety of different studios. That’s the beauty of this new fitness culture and that’s how our demographic consumes fitness. However, if you’re anything like me, you probably don’t want to do the same monotonous cardio all of the time. I’ve always wanted to customize my workouts so I have the ability to adapt my workout regimen to different amounts of time and different types of equipment. And, every day, I want to work on different parts of my body. Ultimately, I wanted to create a technology platform curated around the boutique studio experience that allows people like me to adapt to their environment.

What is your favorite JETSWEAT workout?

EF: Choosing my favorite workout on JETSWEAT is like picking a favorite child. Personally, I like to mix up my workout regimen with a variety of different studios so I have a favorite in every category.  Most recently, I like to start with a dynamic HIIT workout like BodySpaceFitness earlier in the week and then move onto a low impact workout focused on sculpting a particular part of my body. At the moment, my go-to is a core workout from BodyRok that uniquely replicates the reformer experience within the classroom. I always like to end the week with a more multi-sensory yoga and meditation experience from Woom Center.

Tell me about the Hamptons Wellness Series?

EF: For those that want to stay active (along with sipping a few glasses of rosé and indulging at Carissa’s Bakery), we wanted to offer some fitness studio options for people to take IRL outdoors while they’re in the Hamptons. Whether you’re into Pilates, cardio, meditation, yoga or HIIT classes, Jetsweat is bringing a different studio partner from NYC to the Hamptons every Saturday to help all our studio partners’ devotees an opportunity to work up a sweat during their time out East. All of our classes are led by 1-2 instructors outside on the lawn at A Room At The Beach in Bridgehampton every Saturday morning at 10am. We’ve also collaborated with a variety of brand partners in the health & wellness space and provide complimentary healthy snacks, drinks, and products to attendees after class. We’re offering perks from Liteboxer, Swoon, Glo Skin Beauty, Bite Gummies, Koh Tequila, Splash Beverages, Love Corn, Blue Stripes Cacao Water, Realm Smoothies, Drink Poppi, Liweli, Tusol Wellness, Neurogum and Hallstein Water. For those who can’t make it to class, we are also livestreaming each class on the Jetsweat platform. To find out more information on our classes in the Hamptons, please book a class here. To livestream a Hamptons class, you can create an account on the Jetsweat platform here and use promo code JSHAMPTONS at checkout for an extended free trial for 30 days and receive unlimited access to all of Jetsweat’s on-demand and live content.

WHEN:

Saturday, July 31st – Detox or Retox

WHERE:

A Room at the Beach
2668 Montauk Hwy, Bridgehampton, NY 11932

Your Hamptons Wellness Series is taking place at A Room at the Beach in Bridgehampton, how did you go about choosing this particular location?

EF: I discovered A Room At The Beach last summer when I had to quarantine for two weeks during Covid and stayed at the hotel and fell in love with this quaint boutique hideaway. Surrounded by redwoods, this ten-room cedarwood oasis has a long patio for sundown drinks, pergolas covered in vines for shady afternoon naps, and a beautiful shaded grassy lawn that is absolutely ideal for an outdoor workout.

Cacao Water from Blue Stripes Cacao will be available at all of the Hamptons classes, what makes this drink the perfect workout pairing?

EF: We think Cacao Water is the next coconut water! It’s rich in natural superfood properties that are great for advanced hydration, before or after a workout. It’s packed with antioxidants, electrolytes such as magnesium and potassium and has no added sugar (aka no crashing). We think it’s the perfect, refreshing complement to the Hamptons outdoor lifestyle, especially since everything from the cacao water to the bottle is eco-friendly. Additionally, we try to align with brands that support total body wellness as part of a lifestyle. And best of all, it’s delicious!!

What is your favorite Hamptons store/restaurant/beach to visit?

EF: I’ve spent all of my summers out East for most of my childhood and adult life. My favorite memories have always been in the Hamptons. My favorite Hamptons store is Tenet. Favorite restaurant is Crow’s Nest. Favorite beach is Beach Lane in Wainscott.

  • When Jesse Bongiovi launched Hampton Water Wine Co. with his dad, Jon Bon Jovi, in 2018, he helped redefine what modern rosé could look and feel like—sun-soaked, effortless, and rooted in moments shared with the people you love.

Now, with the growth of Lily Pond Group, he’s expanding that vision far beyond the bottle. Influenced by years spent in the Hamptons’ uniquely relaxed and refined culture, Jesse’s approach to brand-building is all about capturing a feeling: the blend of ease, taste, and connection that defines a perfect summer day out East.

With Lily Pond Group’s emerging portfolio—including Hampton Water, Five Springs, and Mezcal Mezul—Jesse is shaping brands that stand for more than just good drinks. They’re grounded in storytelling, authenticity, and community, with the kind of cultural resonance that turns a product into a lifestyle.

Jesse spoke more about how he got started, how the Hamptons informed his approach, and what he sees on the horizon for the next generation of lifestyle brands.

When did you come up with the concept for Hampton Water and decide to move forward with it?

JB: We saw an opportunity to change the narrative around rosé and the idea of “rosé season.” We wanted something sophisticated but still fun and easygoing, something that reflected the lifestyle we love. When we connected with Gérard Bertrand, it all clicked. The quality in the juice matched the story we wanted to tell, and that’s when we knew we had something special.

  • What began as a shared dream between two young farming apprentices has grown into a year-round nonprofit that feeds, teaches, and welcomes thousands of people each season. Today, co-founders Amanda Merrow and Katie Baldwin continue to nurture the land while carrying out their mission to educate and inspire through food and farming.

From securing ownership of their farmland to expanding their programs, opening a year-round market, and welcoming visitors to explore the property, Amber Waves has become an essential piece of the East End’s agricultural and cultural landscape. Amanda and Katie spoke about their journey, the mission that continues to guide them, and the vision behind one of the most meaningful community-driven farms on Long Island.

What core mission drives the farm today, and how has that mission evolved since the beginning?

Amanda & Katie: We met in 2008 while completing a farming apprenticeship at Quail Hill Farm where we both discovered our shared love of farming. By that July, we were already dreaming up ways to continue farming together in Amagansett. When we founded Amber Waves Farm, our vision was to build something greater than ourselves—something that would outlive us. Our original idea, the “Amagansett Wheat Project,” grew out of a daydream to create a “pizza farm,” and our name, Amber Waves, pays homage to grain production—a line from the song “America the Beautiful”. From the beginning, we chose to be a nonprofit because our mission—to teach and connect people through food and farming—has always been at the heart of what we do.
