One of the best perks of being a writer for Hamptons.com is getting to sample new things that I write about. Experience is important, and, in the case of Levain Bakery, I can attest to having thoroughly sampled every crumb from their delicious new Lemon Cookie. I highly suggest you conduct your own research and get a box for your family or office, or of course, just for yourself (we won’t tell anyone) while they are still available this Spring.
When I first pitched this story to my editor; she was skeptical (I don’t think we have ever written a cookie review before), but when I gave her one…she understood why.
Firstly, the cookies are big enough to share and good enough to hoard. We’re a close team over here, so yes, I did share the cookies. So you know, it wasn’t just me who loved these cookies. Our Senior Vice President, Steve Glick, said in his best Paul Hollywood impression, “Good crumb, soft center, most importantly—refreshing, and the lemon isn’t overpowering.”
If you’ve ever seen one of Dave Rattiner’s food reviews, you know the guy loves sweets. Dave didn’t wait till he was finished chewing to say, “This cookie is outrageously good.”
So, the TLDR: The (delicious) cookie is available for a limited time until around mid-May.
We’ve had some hints at Spring so far this year, but Levain Bakery’s new Lemon Cookie was the best reminder of what Spring has in store in the Hamptons this year. For more than 30 years, Levain Bakery has been known for its generously sized, heartwarming treats, the beloved New York establishment has embraced the season’s zest with the introduction of its Lemon Cookie.
For nearly 30 years, Levain Bakery has always prided itself on creating rich, indulgent treats that use only the highest quality ingredients. This tradition continues with the Lemon Cookie, a bright, bold addition that promises to deliver a burst of spring in every bite.
Crafted with meticulous care by founders Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald, the Lemon Cookie is soft and generously dotted with sweet, slightly tart lemon chips. This citrusy blend strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and tartness, perfect for those of us who crave sweets without chocolate (like me).
“Our new Lemon Cookie is the perfect spring treat,” shared Pam and Connie, the visionary founders of Levain Bakery, in a press release announcing the new cookie. “This is our invitation to all non-chocolate lovers to indulge in our latest creation. It’s simply delicious and a must-try this season!“
In addition to being available individually, the Lemon Cookie joins a new spring cookie assortment that includes the bakery’s other favorites like Oatmeal Raisin, Chocolate Chip Walnut, and Coconut Caramel cookies, offered in packs of 4, 8, and 12.
Not in the Hamptons this Spring? No problem, you don’t have to miss out. All cookies are baked daily and are available for shipping nationwide.
Beyond the Hamptons, Levain is opening its 14th location in New York’s Flatiron District and has operations all around the country. Maybe it’s the sugar going to my head, but the cookie is a real celebration of the Spring, freshness, and always-innovative Levain Bakery.
