“We believe that Main Street is an important part of the texture of our communities,” shared Sylvester & Co. on their Mission Main Street Grants page. “It’s been our experience that people need a place to be and go to discuss ideas, meet friends, find things to make their lives more comfortable.”
Sylvester & Co. is currently in the running to receive a $100,000 grant from Chase’s Mission Main Street Grants. To move on to the next round of the program, they will need to secure at least 250 votes to be considered for a grant. The Sag Harbor store still needs slightly over 50 more votes.
Once the voting period ends on Friday, June 19th, a panel of judges will deliberate on the highest-rated businesses. The grant recipients will be announced in September 2015.
Mission Main Street Grants is a grant program by Chase that awards small businesses with grants. 20 companies will receive the top honors, which include a $100,000 grant from Chase and a trip to the LinkedIn headquarters.
