Betsey Johnson Hamptons Yard Sale To Take Place Over Labor Day Weekend

The opportunity to purchase designer goods while at the designer’s home during a yard sale is incredibly rare. But Betsey Johnson, who is currently getting ready for her New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016 Runway Show, is yet again opening up her East Hampton abode to give bargain shoppers the chance to scoop up amazing items during the event, which will feature everything from vintage clothing to items from her Betsey Johnson label to furniture, and more.

Wondering why the quirky fashion fixture is holding the shopping extravaganza? She’s listing her Hamptons house and plans to spend a lot more time in Malibu, where her daughter Lulu and grandchildren live.

Before the designer closes down her East Hampton house, Johnson plans on selling approximately 10,000 pieces from her personal collection, including her own designs, one-of-a-kind runway looks and more.

“I’m a hoarder and a pack rat,” Johnson told Newsday. “It’s torturous thinking of getting rid of some of these things, but it’s time to let go — I’ve got so much stuff it’s ridiculous.”

The sale will take place on Sunday, September 6th and Monday, September 7th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Only cash will be accepted.
