The Montauk Historical Society will present their Annual Craft Fair on Saturday, July 16th and Sunday, July 17th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Fair will return on Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th, and for the first time, the Society will host a Fall Fair, taking place on Saturday, September 24th and Sunday, September 25th.
“Montauk is now one of the top destinations in the country for summer traffic flow,” said Kathryn Nadeau, President of the Montauk Historical Society. “We are among the best craft shows on the east coast and have been a juried art show with our roots going back to our first craft fair in 1968.”

The Craft Fair will take place at the Second House Museum. All crafters and artisans are encouraged to register for a booth. “Our committee looks not only at the quality of the work submitted, but we also pay attention to the diversity of authentic crafts and what can sell in the Montauk to New York City area,” added Nadeau.
Additionally, visitors of the Fair can listen to entertaining live American folk music on Sunday afternoons and enjoy tasty food and drinks throughout the weekend. This year will feature a new Indian Museum and fantastic tours will be offered throughout the day.
“At past shows, local children have set up a small booth and provided: how to make a bird perch out of toilet tissue holders, seeds, and honey. As well as other creative recycling ideas,” noted Nadeau.

Vendors will offer a wide variety of goods. “It’s a great time of year to shop both summer and fall/winter wares,” explained Nadeau. “The weather is typically warm and beautiful with a hint of crisp air emerging so please plan a visit to beautiful Montauk!”
Admission to the Craft Fair is free.
