Hamptons Contemporary To Celebrate Elaine And Willem de Kooning

Hamptons Contemporary has teamed up with elite magazine, Luxe Interiors and Design to once again bring a fabulous home design fair to the Hamptons this July. Being one of the top design magazines of both the region and country, Luxe Interiors and Design will promote this year’s trade show to its readers to bring an elevated experience to fairgoers.

“The Hamptons is an important market for our readers and marketers,” says Sharon Summer, Publisher of Luxe Interiors + Design’s New York edition. “Collaborating with Hamptons Contemporary makes sense since it helps bring design inspiration and ideas to our affluent homeowners.”

The event is the only design fair on the East End of Long Island, providing home trade and design inspiration to regional homeowners. Over 100 curated exhibitors from across the country, all in harmony with the beachy and refined elegance known to a classic Hamptons home, will be presented from Thursday, July 27th to Sunday, July 30th, with a Trade Day on Friday.

This year, a portion of the fair will be dedicated to the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic, featuring the crème de la crème of mid century design décor. This supplement will allow fairgoers to incorporate a design aesthetic stereotypical of the Hamptons between the 50’s and 70’s with the quintessential modern design elements known to Luxe Interiors and Design and Hamptons Contemporary.

“To amplify this impact and to set the tone of the era, the fair is producing an important special art exhibit, Celebrating de Kooning: Elaine and Willem, which recognizes the legendary Hamptons artists for the first time as husband and wife,” noted Executive Director, Rick Friedman.

The 2017 event will be hosted at the Bridgehampton Design Pavilion for the first time. The exquisite estate was chosen to host this summer’s event as the 20,000 sq ft venue is amidst celebrity residences, beautiful horse farms and other luxury estates. It epitomizes the sophistication and beauty that the curators wish to emphasize in the Hamptons design show.
