Southampton Fresh Air Home Hosting 26th Annual Decorators-Designers-Dealers Gala

The 26th annual Decorators-Designers-Dealers (D-D-D) Sale and Auction Gala to benefit the Southampton Fresh Air Home (SFAH) will be held Saturday, June 2.

“The Decorators-Designers-Dealers Sale and Auction is such a unique event,” Thomas Naro of SFAH explained. “It has been called the greatest tag sale on earth. It is fast paced and a lot of fun for the guests.”

Considered one of the opening fundraising soirees of the summer, the highly anticipated event features a famous live, silent and wine auctions as well as home furnishings and antiques for sale. The auctions feature items from top names in fashion, travel, fine dining, sports, health, and beauty. Priceless one-of-a-kind items include exotic vacations at private resorts, exclusive dining experiences with top chefs in beautiful homes, golf outings at some of the fabulous East End golf courses and photoshoots.

The furniture sale will feature rare antiques, gently used and new home furnishings, designer furniture, lamps, paintings, framed prints, fabrics, decorative accessories and much, much more. Guests from Manhattan, Connecticut, Palm Beach and the Hamptons come from far and wide to have first choice of these treasures, beautifully showcased, at amazing prices.

“Our chairmen and designers spend so much time setting all of the donated items up to dazzle our attendees, and everything is sold that night,” Naro noted. “There is a live auction as well as a silent auction, cocktails and hors d oeuvres.”

Established in 1901 by a small group of women, SFAH provides a summer respite to severely, as well as slightly, physically challenged children. Kids find a loving community and like-minded souls. There are swimming pools, tennis volleys for wheelchair bound, and ways to play basketball. The camp is now open year round for holiday parties, alumni weekends, and outings to Broadway shows, Yankees and Mets games.

“All of the proceeds support the 117th season of camp for children with physical disabilities at Southampton Fresh Air Home,” he added. “We are especially excited this year as all our guests will get to see our brand new Main Building which is being completed just in time for the event!”

The 26th annual Decorators-Designers-Dealers (D-D-D) Sale and Auction Gala will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m.
