Skincare Brand Devoted To Safer Products Opens Pop Up In The Hamptons

Beautycounter, the Santa Monica-based skincare brand whose mission is to get safer products into the hands of everyone, has opened a pop up shop in the Hamptons.

Located in East Hampton, the store will feature the brand’s full line of safer skincare and cleaner cosmetics, including color cosmetics, their new SPF collection, facial oils, moisturizers, masks, baby and kids bath products.

“Throughout my life, the Hamptons have been a special place to me,” CEO, Gregg Renfrew, a NYC native, explained. “I had a house in Bridgehampton for many years and I got married on Scott Cameron Beach.”

In addition to offering safer skincare, the Beautycounter team is devoted to educating the public on the need for change in legislation as well as advocating on Capitol Hill for stricter skincare and beauty product guidelines.

“When I launched Beautycounter five years ago, I always envisioned seeing the brand come to life out here and becoming an important part of the community as we expand our reach to get safer beauty and skincare products into the hands of as many people as possible,” Renfrew added.

Later in the summer, Beautycounter will welcome two branded “tuk tuks” that will journey around the towns giving out complimentary samples, and offering rides to and from the store. The “tuk tuks” will even deliver purchases straight to the purchaser’s door if they don’t feel like carrying them.

Additionally, Beautycounter will also present a clean swap program where shoppers can swap products for safer alternatives.
