INTERVIEW: Vuori Senior Director Of Retail Catherine Pike Talks The Brand’s First East Coast Location

If you’re not quite ready to give up your athleisure wear, but still want to look stylish out and about, Vuori has you covered. The popular women’s and men’s performance wear brand is opening its first East Coast outpost – and it happens to be in Bridgehampton. The pop-up retail store, which will be located at SoulCycle’s The Barn, debuts on Saturday, June 19.

We caught up with Vuori Senior Director of Retail Catherine Pike about the space, which will feature Vuori’s core range of performance apparel, new releases, and more.

Tell us about the new Vuori outpost.

CP: Vuori is very excited to be opening at The Barn in Bridgehampton, which will be open June 19th through the end of October. This is the first Vuori brick + mortar on the East Coast so we are very excited about entering this market. The space is 2,450 square feet and is shared with SoulCycle.

Why did you select Bridgehampton for the pop-up?

CP: Vuori’s retail stores are currently located in California and Colorado, so we are excited for the opportunity to bring Vuori to the East Coast. We feel our emphasis on inspiration from the active Coastal California lifestyle aligns perfectly with the lifestyle in Bridgehampton.

What will summer at Vuori bring?

CP: Vuori is the perfect one-stop shopping destination for all of your vacation and long weekend apparel needs. The incredibly versatile product caters to the surfers, yogis and loungers that just want to chill.

Which Vuori items can you not live without?

CP: The Performance Jogger made with our incredibly soft Dreamknit fabric is a must-have in every woman’s closet. We are also really excited about our best-selling Daily Legging, made with our peachy soft and lightweight Breathe Interlock fabric.

For the guys we love the Banks Short, which is moisture wicking, quick drying and perfect for all activities both in and out of the water.

Vuori’s premium performance apparel is inspired by the integration of fitness, surf, sport, and art. Could you speak to that?

CP: Vuori makes premium performance apparel inspired by the active Coastal California lifestyle; an integration of fitness, surf, sport and art. Breaking down the boundaries of traditional activewear, we are a new perspective on performance apparel, with a focus on sustainability.

Can we expect any new Vuori releases?

CP: We have some new boardshorts and new activewear hitting the stores this summer. They are limited edition releases so will go quickly!

What are you most looking forward to about summer in the Hamptons?

CP: Community is very important to Vuori and we are so excited to be a part of the exciting culture that is present during summer in the Hamptons!

Is there anything else you would like to add?

CP: We are so excited to take our brand to the other coast. We look forward to connecting with local businesses, the community and having an amazing summer creating unique experiences.
