Since 2020, I’ve been buzzing my hair. I remember the moment during COVID-19, I couldn’t take it anymore; my hair was long, I had to do something, and I buzzed it. From there, I never went back to a barber; it became a habit; if I was ever in the mood to cut my hair, I just stepped outside with my buzzer, no mirror or anything, and cut my own hair.
But the time has come to get back to a barber. Too often, I’m confronted by someone who notices something off and comments about my hair. “Do you buzz it yourself? You missed a spot.”
Things were dark.
I started to ask around my office, and seemingly everybody I know who is into their hair goes to this guy, Diego. “Oh man, you gotta use Diego. He’s awesome,” Mikey Pino, John Healy, and Steve Glick, all from Saunders & Associates, said to me.
“Okay, I’ll try it.
”I’m glad I did. Diego is an American success story. The guy has been cutting hair since he was a teenager and very proudly has opened his barber shop, in his vision, right off Main Street in Westhampton Beach. A man’s haircut is just $35, which is reasonable these days, and he sat me down.
I forgot that when you go to a good barber, you don’t just get a haircut; you get an experience. I was talking about the entire universe, my family, Space X, missions to Mars, you name it, we talked about it. Diego shaped up my beard and gave me the ultimate Long Island haircut. I was immensely satisfied with how it looked, which is rare for me and one of the reasons why I remained committed to cutting my hair.
I’m not kidding; I heard nothing but compliments about my hair for three days straight. Literally, ANYONE who knows me made a comment. It was nice to get the confidence boost, and it is nice to have a guy you can trust with your hairstyle. I highly recommend Diego. See the before and after video below.
