Chatterbox: Apollo In The Hamptons Features Sets From Sting, Shaggy, Jamie Foxx, Jon Bon Jovi, And Surprise Performance From Chris Martin

Rachel Zoe, Jessica Seinfeld, and Arielle Charnas celebrated the launch of the 2nd Annual Maisonette Market in the Hamptons at Serena & Lily on Wednesday, August 8. Later on in the week, model Karolina Kurkova co-hosted a Mommy & Me #SundayFunday spa day at the Maisonette Market alongside Maisonette co-founders Sylvana Ward Durrett and Luisana Roccia Mendoza.

Rocker Gary Clark Jr.’s Surf Lodge concert brought out Jimmy Buffet, Andy Cohen, Fabian Basabe, and Sports Illustrated supermodel Sailor Brinkley Cook, who later joined Jayma Cardoso and star chef Camille Becerra for a private dinner at the Montauk hotspot that featured copious amounts of The Palm rosé, the latest it-wine from Whispering Angel. Candice Miller of Mama & Tata hosted a studded pop up at The Surf Lodge for children’s clothing brand Monica + Andy on Sunday. The afternoon featured popular brands like Cybex, Smallbirds, Babyganics, Jetblack, Little Spoon and Nibble & Squeak who offered engaging activations. Notable attendees included Rachel Zoe, Rebecca Minkoff, Daniella Tisch, Monica Royer, Chloe Rosenberg, Lesley Vecsler, Jessie Rudin, Tali Magal, Melissa Gad, William Van Hertsen, Seri Kertzner, Jesse Spooner, Alyson Gradone, and Anastasia Ganias Gellin. Later on, Donavon Frankenreiter headlined. The musician and surfer’s annual Surf Lodge show was attended by Rachel Zoe and pro surfer Quincy Davis.

The opening reception for Taylor Slater’s One Ocean – Seven Strawless Seas at The Montauk Beach House on Friday brought out several notable names – including Jimmy Buffet and Taylor’s dad, 11x World Surfing Champion Kelly Slater. One Ocean – Seven Strawless Seas, which is Taylor’s first solo show, completely sold out, and one of the pieces was also put up for silent auction in support of Lonely Whale – Adrian Grenier’s foundation, which started the #StrawlessOcean campaign.

Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF) hosted a soiree in honor of its dedicated group of volunteers at Urban Zen in Sag Harbor on Friday. In addition to ARF volunteers, the gathering was attended by Urban Zen founder Donna Karan.

On Saturday, Jon Bon Jovi stopped by the Juice Press’ East Hampton location, where he purchased nitro coffee.

Later on, Bon Jovi was among the notable names that gathered at the East Hampton home of Apollo Vice Chairman Ronald O. Perelman for the ninth annual Apollo in the Hamptons. The benefit for the Apollo Theater included performances from Chaka Kahn, Sting, Shaggy, Alice Smith Jr., Jamie Foxx, Jon Bon Jovi, and a special surprise performance from Chris Martin, as well as Sarah Ikumu and Vy Higginsen’s Sing Harlem Choir, and The Roots. The evening, which raised millions, brought out Robert Downey Jr., Jimmy Fallon and Nancy Juvoven, Zach Braff, Jane and Jimmy Buffett, and Molly Simms and Scott Stuber, Spike Lee, Donna Karan, Robert Smith and Charles Phillips.

“This year’s Apollo in the Hamptons was a tribute to the soul and extraordinary musical history of the legendary Apollo Theater. Giving to the arts and community education is more important than ever and I am so proud to continue to support this iconic and vital cultural institution,” Perelman noted. “The Apollo’s programs provide young people the inspiration, experience and training that help them succeed. Without our support, these incredible programs would be in danger or could disappear entirely.”

Also on Saturday, Luke Weil’s LIMPIA hosted its annual Summer Benefit. The evening started with cocktails and an intimate dinner at The Crow’s Nest in Montauk. Liev Schreiber, Cynthia Rowley, and Jayma Cardoso were among supporters.

Ray Donovan star Eddie Marsan was spotted at 75 Main enjoying dinner with his wife and kids, while Chris Noth dined with a friend at a table nearby. The Southampton hotspot also welcomed Steve Mnuchin who dined with his wife and four other guests – including Rudy Giuliani’s wife. The group enjoyed dinner outside – with Mnuchin’s secret service nearby. Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker were also spotted at 75 Main, as was RHONY star Ramona Singer.
