Jewel Morris and Robert Morris are hosting the 3rd Annual Pet Philanthropy Circle’s Pet Hero Awards at their stunning Hobby Hill Estate in Water Mill on Saturday, August 23rd from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Amanda Hearst, Georgina Bloomberg, Jean Shafiroff and Andy Sabin will receive awards for their outstanding pet philanthropy work.
Highlights of the evening include Prince Lorenzo Borghese being named Humanitarian of the Year and Jean Shafiroff receiving the Outstanding Volunteer Award. Friends of Finn Founder and Chairwoman, Amanda Hearst will be honored for her tireless work along with the Friends of Finn committee member, Georgina Bloomberg. Andy Sabin will receive the Outstanding Pet Philanthropist of the Year Award. Further honorees include Tony Award Winner, William Berloni for Dog Trainer of the Year, who has worked with Sandy from the Broadway show Annie and Dr. David T. Crouch, DVM for Outstanding Veterinarian of the Year.

Best Friends Animal Society of Utah is celebrating their 30th anniversary and will be honored with the Outstanding Animal Welfare Organization Award as pioneers of the important and ever-growing, NO-KILL movement. Outstanding Shelter honors will be given to Pet Haven Rescue, a cage free rescue sanctuary, Angel On A Leash’s, David Frei will take home a Special Achievement Award for his work with Southampton Hospital and Outstanding Juniors, Brittany and Ariel Lavalle will be recognized for their contributions to Last Chance Animal Rescue.
The extraordinary benefit evening will kick off with cocktails and tasty hors d’eouvres from Janet O’Brien Caterers. There will also be a silent auction offering a wide variety of prizes. Flowers by Topaz designer, Mark Massone will provide the floral décor, and Felicia Greenberg will showcase impressive table art and event designs. Attendees will hang out around Hobby Hill’s swimming pool before the awards ceremony occurs on the fine-looking brick pagoda stage that overlooks lush greens.

The mission of Pet Philanthropy Circle (PPC) is to save and improve the quality of animal’s lives by promoting greater public awareness of their welfare and the causes that protects them. PPC achieves their goals through instructive programs and by raising money for qualified animal rescue organizations and individuals at the annual Pet Philanthropy Awards event.
