On Friday, September 25th through Sunday, September 27th, Southampton SeptemberFest returns to Southampton for its 5th annual Village-wide modern harvest celebration of local history, art, food, music and more.

“Septemberfest has developed into an incredible event which showcases the Southampton community and attracts visitors during the shoulder season to support local business,” shared Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley. “It is more than I thought it would be and I am very proud of our team.”
The festivities debut on Friday night with a Cocktail Party at Agawam Park, sponsored by the Southampton Rotary Club. Partygoers will enjoy wine and craft beer, along with bites from local food trucks, music by Beau Hulse, and a special performance by County Line Band, underwritten by Storms. Tickets are $30 and proceeds from the event support the Rotary Club’s Scholarship & Endowment Fund.
On Saturday, it’s a jam-packed schedule of fun for all ages with activities taking place throughout Southampton. Hopefully Forgiven, Next Level Band, Black & Sparrow and the Lynn Blue Band are headlining concerts in the Park, which will also include a special drumming session by Dan Bailey Tribe. Along with hosting live music throughout the day, Agawam Park will also be the spot to try local chowder recipes during a “Best of the Hamptons” Chowder Contest, nosh on seasonal fare during “Taste of the East End,” take an old-fashioned ride in the Wells Fargo Stagecoach, learn about local organizations like Solarize Southampton, Perfect Earth Project, Conscience Point Hatchery, Quogue Wildlife Refuge, and the Riverhead Foundation in the educational area, and watch as Maniac Pumpkin Carvers showoff their talent by creating a special “Star Wars” themed display. Southampton Historical Museum is celebrating SeptemberFest with their Harvest Day Fair featuring 19th Century demonstrations and activities. The grounds at Southampton Arts Center will have a Farmers Market, Lights, Camera, Action! 50 Years of Film in Posters, Fun for the Kids, a Friends of the Library Book Sale, and performances by Jester Jim.
SeptemberFest wraps up on Sunday with several activities taking place at Agawam Park, including Music Together for the Kids, a special dance performance and lessons by Argentine Tango Lovers of LI, an Educational Corner, concerts by Charles Certain and Certain Moves and Vanessa Trouble & Co., food vendors, art vendors, an art exhibit presented by the Southampton Artists Association, and a historical Scavenger Hunt throughout the village, in celebration of Southampton’s 375th Anniversary. A Juried Art Exhibition will be on display at Southampton Arts Center, and the Farmers Market and Lights, Camera, Action! will return to the grounds at Southampton Arts Center.

Southampton SeptemberFest was created to commemorate Southampton’s rich history and shine a spotlight on the community during one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit. The annual festival is a collaboration between pioneering civic, cultural and business groups, including Rogers Memorial Library, Southampton Arts Center, Southampton Chamber of Commerce, Southampton Cultural Center, Southampton Historical Museum, Southampton Rotary Club and the Village of Southampton.
