On Saturday, November 28th, you can join the LongHouse Reserve as they toast to the start of seasonal festivities during a Holiday Gathering. “This is the perfect time of year to gather with friends, take in the landscape and celebrate another great year at LongHouse Reserve,” said Executive Director Matko Tomicic.
From 2 to 4 p.m., attendees can explore the spacious 16-acre LongHouse sculpture garden and arboretum, get into the seasonal spirit as you enjoy holiday music, an Apple Old Fashioned, Hot Toddy, place a wish on LongHouse’s Yoko Ono Wish Tree, and start (and maybe even finish) your gift search while shopping during the holiday sale at the INstore at LongHouse, which offers an extraordinary variety of rare homewares, books, jewelry and wearable art, like hand-woven cotton towels from Kara Weaves in India, a gorgeous selection of pottery, handmade jewelry and accessories from Fait La Force in Haiti.
As this year’s season comes to a close, LongHouse is already excited for what next year will bring. “We can’t wait to unveil what will happen next April for our biggest season yet in 2016,” noted Tomicic.
