The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) will host their annual Bow Wow Meow Ball on Saturday, August 20th at the ARF Adoption Center in Wainscott. The summer soiree will kick-off with cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing, beginning at 8 p.m.

The gala will honor filmmaker Katharina Otto-Bernstein for her outstanding commitment to ARF and overall animal welfare. Otto-Bernstein – who directed Absolute Wilson and was a producer on HBO’s Mapplethrope: Look At the Pictures – has adopted animals from ARF, supported its programs, attended benefit events, and has hosted an annual pet food donation. The ARF Champion of Animals Award will be presented to Katharina Otto-Bernstein by theater director, visual artist and Watermill Center Founder, Robert Wilson.
“This is our biggest fundraiser for the year and tickets are still available for what is expected to be a magical evening,” noted Jamie Berger, Director of Marketing & Communications at Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons. “The money raised from the ball allows us to continue our life saving work at rescuing at risk animals – so we hope you’ll join us.”
Guests will be treated to a cocktail reception and a dinner catered exclusively by Glorious Food, with decor by David Monn and Alex Papachristidis. After dinner, attendees will hit the dance floor and enjoy music by the Peter Duchin Orchestra. Vice Chairman of Sotheby’s and Auctioneer, Benjamin Doller, will lead the live auction and a silent auction with CharityBuzz will also be part of the night’s festivities. Prizes include a golf outing at the Maidstone Club, tickets to a Dr. Oz taping, a meet-and-greet with Knicks Legends, and many more! A group of cats and dogs in need of loving homes will be onsite to be adopted.
Tickets start at $500 and all proceeds from the event will benefit ARF and its initiatives.
