Independent Group Home Living Program (IGHL) will welcome fashionistas to its 8th annual IGHL Fashion Fling & Luncheon at Westhampton Country Club on Sunday, October 23rd.
IGHL provides services for men, women and children who have intellectual disabilities, with 70 group homes and 25 day programs located throughout both Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
“This event is about bringing women together who support IGHL and its mission,” explained Dori Geier, Senior Director of Human Resources at IGHL, who co-founded the IGHL Luncheon & Fashion Fling with Mary Beth Lichtneger, IGHL’s Chief Financial Officer. “This event recognizes these women as being a vital part of IGHL’s family and in this way we honor them.” IGHL is extremely grateful for its dedicated supporters. “These women are mothers, sisters, cousins, grandmothers and aunts of some of the people we care for; others are valued supporters,” adds Lichtneger. “Together we are strong in fighting for and standing up for those who aren’t able to.”
From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., attendees can learn about the latest fashions as models parade past them during a Fashion Show, enjoy delicious bites, and Greg Williams Quartet will be performing throughout the afternoon!
