Elayne Boosler And Michele Balan Headlining LTV’s Super Summer Salon Comedy Benefit

If you’ve enjoyed LTV’s latest Creative Salon Nights, or have been meaning to get to one, you’re not going to want to miss the Super Summer Salon Comedy Benefit on Friday, July 12 from 6 to 9 p.m.

“I’m so excited for LTV’s Comedy Benefit — with all the fundraisers out east this summer, we humbly think this will be the most FUN one of the season — lots of laughs, great food, cool Host committee and a lineup of stellar comedians–all to benefit public access television on the East End,” shared Angela LaGreca, LTV Creative Director and the evening’s host.

Headliners will include the legendary Elayne Boosler, as well as comedian Michele Balan.

“Our event features comedy great Elayne Boosler — she’s really a legend in the world of comedy, not only was she the first female standup to have her own specials on Showtime and HBO, she was named one of Comedy Central’s ‘Greatest 100 Standup Comedians of All Time’. Rolling Stone called her ‘The First Lady of Standup Comedy,'” LaGreca noted. “Joining Elayne is Michele Balan — who was a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing — Cyndi Adams described her as ‘dynamite.'”

In addition to the endless laughs, there will be a spectacular, locally-sourced Cocktail Hour featuring bites from TV host Tia Greene and her ‘savory’ partners, as well as Hamptons Meal Prep, Hamptons Hawaiian, Haskell’s Seafood, Milla’s Puffs, Mecox Bay Dairy, Sandesha Taylor, Stuart’s Seafood Market, The Seafood Shoppe and Brooklyn Chop House, and sips provided by Cellier Wine Distributing. There will also be an exceptional live auction with exciting items like a private Sunset Sail Charter on the Lelanta 82′ schooner, VIP tickets to The Hampton Classic, The View, and the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Summer Party, a Private Chef in your Home by Hamptons Meal Prep, a unique three Night Lake House Getaway with your own dock, a pooch grooming, outfit and private photo shoot courtesy of the Bow Tie Pet Club, and an LTV TV Production Package (we shoot/edit your event and train you) up for grabs.

“Bill McCuddy will be our Live Auctioneer — he is always a hit (if you have a sense of humor about yourself and the Hamptons!). And I’ll be the emcee moving things along. We may have a surprise celebrity performance — can’t say, you’ll have to be there!” LaGreca added.

Lenny Babbish will serve as the evening’s musical director, while LTVs Franklin Quito will provide the tunes.

The Super Summer Salon Comedy Benefit Host Committee includes Arlene & Alan Alda, Joy Behar, Lorraine Bracco, Jamie DeRoy, Joan & Skip Hamburg, Judith Kasen-Windsor, Elizabeth MacDonald, and Robert Zimmerman.

Proceeds from the Super Summer Salon Comedy Benefit will support LTV, the East End’s premiere public access television station, a not-for-profit 501 (c3). LTV plans to use the funding to expand from a TV station to a Media Center that champions budding media makers.
