Hamptons-Based Whaling & Historical Museum Re-Opening To Host Annual Holiday Soiree

The Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum is closing out its 2019 season by welcoming the community to one last grand gathering – the Museum’s sixth annual Holiday Cocktail Party and Fundraiser.

“Our Holiday Party is one of our most popular fundraising events; full of good friends, good cheer, food, drinks, music, carolers, and a silent auction, it is our chance to say thank you to all our friends, neighbors and supporters before we ring in the New Year,” Richard Doctorow, Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum Curator / Collections Manager, shared.

On Saturday, December 7, from 5 to 7 p.m., attendees will revel in the season as they admire the festively decorated Sage Parlor, nosh on tasty hors d’oeuvres, enjoy delicious drinks, listen to joyous seasonal tunes, mingle with other Museum supporters, and more.

The Museum is actually currently closed for the winter season and will re-open in May 2020 – so this is a super rare chance to visit the Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum, a certified National Treasure, at this time of the year.

Proceeds from the evening will support the Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum, whose mission is to “preserve, interpret and promote the culture of Sag Harbor through its collection of historical objects related to the village’s whaling history, as well as the presentation of contemporary exhibits and events that reflect the culture of the village today and put Sag Harbor’s past and present into context.”

Admission is $30 in advance and $40 at the door.
