People in the Hamptons are embracing the easy going island vibe this weekend with live reggae performances at many Hamptons hotspots.
Clockwork Kids will rock the Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, 631-267-3117, www.stephentalkhouse.com) in Amagansett on Thursday, August 1, at 8 p.m. followed by East End locals Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks at 10 p.m. On Friday, August 2, Glenn Tilbrook will perform at 8 p.m., then get ready for a flashback to the 70’s rock disco era when Booga Sugar performs at 10 p.m. It’s a packed schedule on Saturday, August 3, starting with singer and storyteller Suzanne Vega at 8 p.m., ultra-revisionist and hyper-analytical rock band The Post at 9 p.m., and at 10 p.m. get ready for a rap/rock party thrown by Little Head Thinks. On Sunday, Dawn Landes will open for Beth Orton starting at 8 p.m. followed by reggae night with Winston Irie at 10 p.m. On Monday, August 5, Julia Haltigan will open for Ari Hest at 8 p.m. followed by the “guitar-driven grooves and powerhouse rhythm” from Leroy Justice at 10 p.m. On Tuesday, August 6, enjoy relaxing reggae from Yellowman at 8 p.m.
Andy Suzuki & The Method are performing at East End or Busk at the Parrish Art Museum (279 Montauk Highway, 631-283-2118, parrishart.org) in Water Mill on Friday, August 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. on the terrace.

The Longhouse Reserve (133 Hands Creek Road, 631-604-5330, www.longhouse.org ) in East Hampton is hosting an evening of art and music from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday to celebrate the opening of Ai Weiwei’s “Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads: Gold” and top emerging Cuban sculptor Yoan Capote’s “Rerum Alter Natura.”
The opening reception for Alberto Guglielmi’s “SurferDNA” exhibition at The Montauk Beach House (55 South Elmwood Avenue, 631-668-2112, thembh.com) is on Friday from 8 to 10 p.m. The portrait series which will be on display until August 14, features AnnaSophia Robb, Cynthia Rowley, Sam Talbot and Sean McPherson. Cadillac’s Sound Waves @ The Beach on Saturday features DJ sets by Zen Freeman, Vikas Sapra, and DJ SONIQ.

World famous cabaret show The Box is bring its exclusive show to the Hamptons on Friday, August 2, at Sienna Restaurant and Ultralounge (44 Three Mile Harbor Road, 631-604-6060, www.siennahamptons.com) in East Hampton.
On Saturday, The Sloppy Tuna (148 South Emerson Avenue, 631-647-8000, www.thesloppytuna.com) in Montauk is hosting a barefoot wine beach cleanup from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with an after party for volunteers. Make sure you stay for the Locals vs. Lifeguard Stand Up Paddle Off at 6:30 p.m. which will raise money for local lifeguards to go to nationals in California. On Sunday, stop by for a performance from Celtic Cross.
Enjoy champagne and shopping aboard the SS Adornia which will be docking at the Montauk Yacht Club (32 Star Island Road, 631-668-3100, www.montaukyachtclub.com ) and Navy Beach (16 Navy Road, 631-668-6868, navybeach.com) on Saturday. The first of two “pop-up sails” will commence at 12:30 p.m. at the Montauk Yacht Club and at 3 p.m. the SS Adornia will depart Montauk and arrive at Navy Beach at 3:30 p.m. and dock there till 6 p.m.
Catch reggae artist Maxi Priest’s poolside performance on Saturday, August 3, at The Backyard Restaurant at Solé East Resort (90 Second House Road, 631-668-2105, www.soleeast.com ) in Montauk as part of the Summer Concert Series starting at 6:30 p.m.
